this is the historical museum that has located on the exactly important historical location during the WW2, it's worth for visiting this place in order to realize the previous Singaporean history, before transform to the new era of flourishing and prosperity in the next chapter. “Always forgive, but never forget, else you will be a prisoner of your own hatred, and doomed to repeat your mistakes forever.” Wil Zeus, Sun Beyond the Clouds

After the recent renovations, the utilisation of tech to tell the stories has increased much. A very informative walk through the Japanese occupation. Air-conditioning is rather cold if there isn't a crowd of people.

The Former Ford Factory gave us a glimpse to the past during the dark days of Singapore; where Singapore was surrendered to the Japanese by the British. I was struck by a quote which goes something like this "We forgive but we don't forget, we learn from history and so that we don't have to forgive again." War is a terrible thing and should not be used to solve problems, especially when life is involved. Hopefully people learn to cherish the things they have and not forget things don't come easy as they are now compared to the past.

Highly recommend especially the guided tour. Conducted by volunteer guides who are clearly enthusiastic and passionate about the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and also very dedicated. Although tours usually last an hour, he took almost 2hr to walk us through the whole exhibition and never once showing any tiredness. Instead he kept apologizing for “holding us up”. I feel bad that I didn’t get his name but thank you so much for the tour if you are reading this.
